Prudent People Ltd (company number 08011647, registered office 3 Chorlton Green, Manchester, M21 9HS) is the data controller for the personal data described here. We handle it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- From our website form: your name, phone number, email address, whether you are a contractor or an agency, your agency's name and anything you choose to tell us.
- When you become our employee: the details we need to employ and pay you, such as your address, date of birth, National Insurance number, bank details, right-to-work documents and timesheets.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and talk to you about working with us (our legitimate interest, and your consent where you give it).
- To employ you, pay you and report to HMRC (your employment contract and our legal obligations).
Who we share it with
HMRC and other public bodies where the law requires it, the agency you work through, our pension provider, and the service providers who run our systems for us under contract. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within 12 months. Payroll and employment records are kept for as long as HMRC and employment law require, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us through the form on our website. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
